Achilles Hope & Possibility 2011
On June 26, 2011 in Central Park, NYC, George & Jesus completed their very first marathon – Achilles Hope & Possibility 5M 2011! Blissful Bedrooms family members came out to support these two courageous young guys as they crossed the finish line and experienced the sweet taste of victory!! Defying their disabilities, and paving the way for other young individuals with physical challenges, Georgie & Jesus propelled their hand cycles down the road of empowerment and self realization. They accomplished something on that Sunday morning that they never ever imgained they could do 6 short months before. We are confident that this will be the first of many proud triumphs they will go on to experience in their life. George & Jesus trained for several months for this big day and they will continue with this active and healthy lifestyle of exercise. As you can imagine, this journey has not been easy for them, but that hasn’t stopped them from showing up every Saturday morning at Central Park to train with Achilles International. Each week they push their limits, delve bravely into exhaustion and despair, and ultimately emerge in a state of renewal and strength. Who knows, maybe they will go on to complete the NYC 26 mile marathon in October. One thing is for sure….whatever they do, the Blissful Bedrooms family of supporters will be right there supporting them and cheering them on!!
